Voters say they are more likely to cast ballots in this year’s midterm elections

Three weeks before critical midterm elections, voters are expressing significantly more interest in turning out than they were four years ago, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll. Enthusiasm is up across almost all demographic groups, but the increases are greater among younger adults, nonwhite voters and those who say they favor Democrats for the House.

Poll: 60 percent disapprove of Trump, while clear majorities back Mueller and Sessions

President Trump’s disapproval rating has hit a high point of 60 percent, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll that also finds that clear majorities of Americans support the special counsel’s Russia investigation and say the president should not fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

No, Trump’s approval among black Americans hasn’t doubled

Trump’s approval among black Americans fell nine points from January to December. Rather than doubling, his approval rating among those Americans was actually more than cut in half, dropping from 15 percent to 6 percent.

Donald Trump’s New York Times interview is scary to read

The president of the United States is not well. That is an uncomfortable thing to say, but it is an even worse thing to ignore. Consider the interview Trump gave to the New York Times on Thursday. It begins with a string of falsehoods that make it difficult to tell whether the leader of the free world is lying or delusional.

Poll: Majority of Trump voters would support him even if he colluded with Russia

A majority of President Donald Trump's  voters surveyed by the left-leaning Public Policy Polling (PPP) believe  he should continue to serve as president even if it's proven that he  conspired with Russia to sway the 2016 election. Just 14 per cent of Trump voters said he should resign in the event that special counsel Robert Mueller or the congressional intelligence committees find that he colluded with Russia.

A 2016 Review: There’s Reason to Be Skeptical of a Comey Effect

Some polls showing a Clinton decline, including one by The Upshot, were conducted before the letter by James Comey was released. Most important, the polls taken before the letter were as bad for Mrs. Clinton as those conducted after it. Again, there aren’t many of these polls, but taken at face value there’s a case that Mrs. Clinton had nearly or even completely bottomed out by the time the Comey letter was released. Even if she had not, the trend line heading into the Comey letter was bad enough that there’s no need to assume that the Comey letter was necessary for any additional erosion in her lead.

The Democratic Party seems to have no earthly idea why it is so damn unpopular

A troubling new poll was just released showing that the Democratic Party is significantly less popular than both Donald Trump and Mike Pence. My gut tells me that Democrats will ignore this poll, or blame it on bad polling, and continue down the same course they are currently on: being funded by lobbyists and the 1%, straddling the fence or outright ignoring many of most inspirational issues of the time, and blaming Bernie Sanders for why they aren’t in power right now.

For years, I’ve been watching anti-elite fury build in Wisconsin. Then came Trump.

I did not set out to study rural resentment of "elites," but that’s what I found. We did not see the Trump victory coming because at least one part of their resentment has grounding in reality: Urbanites have not been listening to the concerns of people in rural America. Indeed, resentment is also part of another big story of this election: the inaccuracy of polls. If you are a rural resident who believes that urban institutions like mass media and universities ignore and look down upon people like you, why would you spend time answering one of their surveys?

Clinton leads by five points nationally as Trump personality concerns persist

Post-ABC Tracking Poll: Trump 46, Clinton 45, as Democratic enthusiasm dips

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are all but tied in the latest Washington Post-ABC News Tracking Poll, which finds Clinton backers slipping behind in enthusiasm even as the Democrat has an edge in early voting. The tracking poll finds little shift in Clinton's overall support following news of the FBI's renewed look at Clinton emails, but strong enthusiasm among her supporters fell behind Trump in combined Saturday and Sunday interviews.

Catastrophe: Clinton 46, Trump 35

They're getting crushed by Hillary farking Clinton and may be bringing the party down with them -- and they don't care. They never have; they're political arsonists. No wonder Team Hillary was rooting for her self-destructive longtime donor and pal to win the Republican primary.

Black voters are turning from Clinton to Trump in new poll

Donald Trump is gaining support among African-American voters — whose enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton is eroding, a tracking poll released Saturday revealed. Trump saw a 16.5 percentage-point increase in backing from African-American voters in a Los Angeles Times/University of Southern California tracking poll, up from 3.1 percent on Sept. 10 to 19.6 percent through Friday.
