Washington Post Enlists Holocaust Against Israel

In an earlier incarnation, Scott Wilson worked for several years as the Washington Post's Jerusalem correspondent. So you would think that he learned something about the ancient historical, political, national, and cultural ties of Jews to the Holy Land.

Israel’s 1967 Borders: What’s The Big Fuss?

In 1947, Great Britain relinquished to the UN the power to make decisions relating to the status of the Land of Israel. The General Assembly appointed a special committee that collected evidence and decided unanimously that Israel should be granted independence. Most of the committee members favored partitioning the land into two states, a Jewish state and an Arab state, with Jerusalem under international supervision. On November 29, 1947, the UN General Assembly accepted the partition resolution, 33 to 13.

Anti-Palin Books Proving to Be Commercial Flops

Palin has mastered the media and shows great signs of using it to her advantage. She has not been blessed by the Republican establishment and sits behind Mitt Romney by only two points of the strongest potential contenders for the Republican nomination for 2012.

The Truth about Islam and Book-Burning

The burning of books is an uncivil and distasteful act no matter where and under what circumstances. The senseless destruction of Egypt's precious ancient archives and historic texts in the Alexandria Library was one of these barbaric acts. Arab-Muslims committed this atrocity in and around the year 685 A.D., immediately after their invasion of Egypt. Many centuries' worth of pre-Islamic Egyptian and Coptic information was eradicated, leaving great gaps in history and causing many unanswered questions concerning Coptic links to Egypt's past.

Where are the Democrat Grown-ups

The United States faces momentous problems, potentially the most devastating issues in its 222 year history. Yet there is a political party, the Democrats, and their titular leader Barack Obama, who act as of this entire chapter in American history is a video game of gotcha with their political opponents who are at least seriously trying to solve some of the long term dilemmas the country faces.

Obama’s Israel Speech Fools Few

D" should no longer stand for "Democratic" but rather the "disastrous" Israeli policy of the Obama Administration. Those who support a secure Israel have to make an important choice. This is one of those defining moments when they need to step up to the plate and strongly support Israel's security and existence above everything else. Some current and former policy makers did just that in statements to American Thinker.

Barack Obama: Yet Another Roadblock to Zionism

Israelis and Americans alike were aghast this week when Barack Obama announced his policy on Israel's borders and settlements. He suggests that a peaceful resolution to the Arab-Israeli conflict could result if Israel withdraws her borders to the boundaries that existed prior to the Six Day War, where, in 1967, a clearly defensive Israel repelled attacks from its hostile Arab neighbors.

The Political Basis for the FairTax

As the current debate over fiscal reform suggests, very few proposals for fundamental changes in tax policy have the potential to command support across the ideological spectrum. The "FairTax" is the great exception. Correctly understood, the Fair Tax Act (HR 25, S13 with 67 cosponsors), which would replace almost all federal taxes with a direct tax on consumption, should appeal to conservatives, progressives, and libertarians alike.

GOP? What GOP?

With the 2012 presidential election fast-approaching, one has to wonder if the Grand Old Party will again manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Obama regime has certainly greased the skids for a GOP win but will the Republican National Committee (RNC) engineer another defeat as it did with candidacies of McCain and Dole?

Conan the Campaigner

Even liberals admit that Obama is not much at the job of governance. When in Washington, he leaves governance to leaders in Congress, as he did to Reid and Pelosi in the first years of this presidency. Or else he flounders about, shifting from one position to another trying to find something that works, or he morphs into the churlish scorn whose unpleasant side comes out when he doesn't get his way.

Cutting the Federal Budget

Hauser's Law tells us that whatever the tax structure, the federal government can't collect more than 19% of GDP in taxes on a sustained basis -- meaning that either taxpayers will find loopholes to avoid taxes or that the disincentives of higher tax rates will result in lower tax payments and/or lower overall economic growth

Greens vs. Energy

This April 22, if you find yourself frustrated at rising gasoline prices, or rising electricity prices, or rising natural gas and heating oil prices, make sure you place plenty of blame on the environmentalists behind Earth Day; for decades they have found a reason to oppose every practical form of energy in the name of "saving the planet."

The Green Nazis

One of the most intriguing facts of the Nazi Party membership rolls is how many of its adherents belonged to what today would be considered the green movement. Even many greens' who were not Nazi Party members, like Leni Riefenstahl (1902-2003), the infamous propaganda filmmaker for the Third Reich, became caught up in the new movement.

The Coverup of Abortion’s Real Risks

Abortionists in this country are actively burying risk research just as tobacco companies did many decades ago. There are now literally piles of genuine medical research which show what most would deem dire elevated risks from abortion -- not just to the baby killed in the procedure -- but to the woman and also to the future siblings of the aborted baby.

Liberalism, Black America’s Greatest Enemy

Dad is a strong Christian who lives by conservative principles and values. And yet, he always votes Democrat. Dad is old school in his political beliefs; Democrats are for the little guy. Republicans are rich, white, and racist. Dad is clueless to the fact that the leadership of his beloved Democratic Party has been hijacked by the far left. Blind to his own racism, Obama is Dad's hero solely because he is black.

What Wisconsin’s Judicial Election Means

The ballots in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race show a relatively small difference between Justice David Prosser, the "conservative" incumbent, and JoAnne Kloppenburg, the leftist challenger. Yesterday, previously uncounted votes in Waukesha County swung the victory to Prosser by over 7,000 votes (out of almost a million and a half cast), though Kloppenburg earlier claimed victory by a much smaller margin

Will Ignorance Lead to a Second Obama Term?

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency...Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. Prospects for Liberal Democracy in the Middle East

The world has been mesmerized by the uprisings taking place in the Middle East against authoritarian regimes. Some speculation is that this effect was caused by the example of Iraq sustaining multiple democratic cycles. By force, the Bush administration annihilated Saddam's brutal regime and forced into place a democratic process.
